Dissent Is Patriotic - Poem by s./j. goldner

In the corners of darkness,
bad luck has lingered,
and now comes forth
with a gluttonous mind.

No self-control of the indulges;
you fail in humanity.
No self-discipline of the mind;
you fail in sanity.

I cease to limit myself, nor to
escape the confinements.
Man is condemned to a lifetime
of consequences
from his own actions.

    Nice piece, I enjoyed your word choice greatly.
    If I may make one suggestion:
    'No self-control of the indulges'
    would be better served as
    'No self-control of indulgence'
    but you can also tell me to get stuffed :)

    Susan breaking free from bad luck's glutinous mind gluttony. Beware. Piquant word pictures and potent imagery afoot. Rgds, Ivan (Report)Reply
