Don't Shortchange Yourself Poem by Gary James Smith

Don't Shortchange Yourself

Rating: 5.0

Don't shortchange yourself
And not wait upon the Lord
He can turn burdens into blessings
He always honors His Word
He will give you patience
To wait upon His will
Reaffirm to yourself today
Peace my soul....Be still!

Give God the time He needs
To address each circumstance
Remember He's the Heavenly Father
Things don't happen perchance
Reflect upon His blessings
Put your soul at ease
He's working things out in His time
Just fall upon your knees

And there there with broken heart
Upon the Potter's wheel
He will fashion you once again
Ready to do His will
With His approval stamp
Here Lord am I send me
Strengthed by that quiet time
When You bade me come to Thee!
