Done To Do With A Seriousness Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Done To Do With A Seriousness

To witness someone loved,
Sacrifice their time and giving...
With a knowing that is realized,
How much one means to them...
In the living of their life.
Makes it easier to walk away,
From those self obsessed.
And living with only themselves to address.
Everyday.

Then one day hearing them say...
What others have not done for them.
And who does not live up to their expecations.
It makes it easy to walk away,
From those like this.
And when it is done to do with a seriousness,
One is left to wonder,
Why it wasn't quicker?
Since the doing of it was painless.
