Doors - Poem by Jewel Datri

There they are.
The only way out
Of this prison
Inside my mind.
They are giant,
very dark and heavy.
I don’t have the strength
to open them.
Maybe one day I will.
For now I have to sit
And think
About why I’m in here.
What did I do
to deserve this solitude?
And how do I get out?
I need a method,
a plan of attack.
Once again,
I am forced
to sit and think.
