Doppelganger Poem by Chaarzarul Rockett

Doppelganger

I had a vision,
but it was only a dream.
I took a walk
down an empty stream.

I found a party
down on their luck.
The ladies sang,
but no chord was struck.

I found a love,
her heart abused,
and in the end
I, too, felt used.

I tried to laugh,
but cried, instead.
For the life I found
was completely dead.
