Downstate - Poem by zian francisco
Again a poignant state
Blues of the sky envelopes my being
Shades are dark
Is it fate?
For a soul to spark
A smile from you is worth seeing
Are you a glance too late?
In a distant memory, you’re just a mark
A part of me that’s worth reliving
The colors and the shapes
Are in moods of stark
Languished and disbelieving
Call on faith
As it has larked
On a heart that has been grieving.
