Earth - Poem by Gulam Abbas Hashmi

Don't ask me whether I do care
For care has not been on my part
It`s something very mighty but
For human race to counterpart
Don't make yourself go but astray
While thinking of dear Mother Earth
As she knows what has to be done
When has to die, when take a birth
Someday no longer you and me
Will dwell upon this earth to see
What yet remains till day unearthed
How brave is our Mother Earth
You pluck her yet it yields for thee
You nail her yet she gives you a home
Be sure! till every soul is gone
This earth will bear for us, but long.
