Earth Mixed With Rain - Poem by Lynzi Berner

I can see me
or what I will be
in the muddy waters

Earth mixed with rain
casting the way it views me
through its reflective pool

The sun has come out
and the water will soak
into the ground

Maybe off to feed
a beautiful flower
or a weathered tree
like me
fighting to survive
