Ec 22 Poem by shuvo chakraborty

Ec 22

Place a scanner with telescopic eye
in your street facing window
And set your curious eyes over it;
Then behold the streaming crowd
Which may make you land in vast sand stretch
Where thousand waves short or tall,
clear or perplex, charming or dull,
Rolling all in strange wind of earthly motion
Draw the dividing line of human coast and the sand.
You may see the measuring clouds
Between the beach and the blue sky
Set the limit of joys and pains, failures and achievements
And the towering winking lighthouse in constant
Pointing towards endless successes of majestic minds.
On the endless beach you may find
Million hearts and endeavors under sand beneath
Drying like fish on scorching Sun with wide eyed dreams.
May the sudden storm born over the weaving sea
And you like fisher man wife eagerly wait to ebb:
Next at a loss being in sudden dark and chill cold
And in awe through the faint starry light
See all the stones and hills around where sea was rolling
And warmness of afternoon gone with half moon,
But the motion of wind ever blowing
To keep the night alive for next dawn.
