Egg Shells And Coffee Grounds Poem by Marilyn Lott

What would happen if you combined egg shells
With coffee grounds do you suppose?
I will tell you all about my experience
With a very delicate, beautiful and tiny pink rose.

For many years coffee grounds were something
That I have saved in my garden compost
I had heard of many things to put there
Coffee grounds seemed beneficial the most.

The egg shells, I had so many, of course
One day I decided to dry and save them
But they would be so much better, I thought
To whiz them up and make a nice blend.

After that I mixed them with coffee grounds
Then putting them around my Rose I found
Later in the summer it was twice as tall because of
Several dosses of egg shells and coffee grounds.
