Eirene, I Was There Poem by Zahir shamsery

Eirene, I Was There

EIRENE
I built your tomb on the rock
With my blood sweat and solitary hug,
I wash the holiness feet’s
With holy tears comes from my heart.

EIRENE
Have I forgotten to play Orpheus’s flute?
Have I forgotten Mozart symphony?
Have I forgotten to end the shower of cannons?
Have I forgotten the Gospels awarded to me?

EIRENE
I can not play flute now,
I can’t listen to symphony, I am in grief,
My empty stomach
Erupting like Vesuvius.

EIRENE
I can’t stop the shower of cannon,
Watching endless death, hue and cry
My brothers and sisters
Victim of the greed of Hyena.

EIRENE
I was there
In the Garden of Eden,
My shame, I was deluded
I cry on earth, I am deluded
