Element Of Surprise - Poem by Peter Camacho
In the dark I walk my last walk,
Death holding me telling me he wants to talk.
My heart beating slowly in pain,
Body just asking to be sain.
Praying to someone who will hear,
What I got was a whisper in my ear.
Telling me my life wasn’t going to end,
But had a special angel to send.
Falling on my knees I started to cry,
Screaming and begging to just die.
Thinking I will have my last breath,
She came and took me away from death.
Her hands filling in what was lost,
Which came with no pain, sacrifice, or cost.
Her eyes telling me I was protected,
Promising me I will no longer feel rejected.
Happiness and fulfillment is now mine,
Which can be anyone’s in the giving of time.
