Emptiness - Poem by Gordon Jerome

The perfect ending to the perfect day
Begins with hello and ends with please stay
With a look on her face that begs hold her tight
She seeks to fill the emptiness she feels this night
Wrapped within your arms she’s safe from her fears
Staying her thoughts of another lonely nights tears
She seeks the warmth of another’s loving embrace
For a cold and lonely bed she never wishes to face
So she fills her empty nights in your loving arms
Accepting the serenity of your manly charms
Hold her close and show her that you care
Fill the emptiness you both may share
