Empty Dreams - Poem by ali walters

Theres an empty hole ive never been able to fill
The dreams and fantasies havent come close
To the thing i want the most
The way i am just isnt enough
Im so sick of being tough
I want to break down, i want to scream
Perfection is only a dream
Dreams only steal what isnt real
And leave us left with nothing
The expectations crumple and suffocate me
As i try to be who im supposed to be
I wish i could accept my reality
