Ephemeral Things Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Ephemeral Things

Rating: 5.0

Everywhere we see things those are ephemeral,
Even body is transitory in this world temporal.
Pen paper to paste and home we need often,
Motor cycle, aeroplane and cars are softened.

In everyday life we use many lovely things,
In past people used to use as human beings.
Nature deteriorates every useful thing gradually,
Some are lost and some are damaged finally.

No things are everlasting all are perishable,
Many things are buried many are invisible.
People, still run after these, are inveigled soon.
None these things can be liven in a little spoon.

But souls are eternal, eternal is supreme soul,
And this world is a drama stage we are to role.
Maximum time we engage for welfare of body,
We give little time for soul and lovely daddy.

We don’t recognise which is ephemeral or eternal,
Eternal are virtuous deeds says our tribunal.
Purity, truth, bliss, nonviolence and sympathy,
All these are eternal along with God, empathy.

The verse expresses spirituality and bears a valuable message: we forsake eternal for ephemeral, while we should pursue 'virtuous deeds'.

World craves for ephemeral things. Everyone looks for short term gains. A long term approach is needed to lead a good life. Thank you for great advice conveyed through the poem.

''Purity, truth, bliss, nonviolence and sympathy, All these are eternal along with God, empathy. '' - these are the attributes by which we should live our life. I agree with Mr Kelly Kurt: such leaders humanity needs.
