Escape - Poem by haley ryan

She sat in the corner with fear in her heart,
Every noise made giving her a frightful start,
Her knees were clutched to her aching chest,
The door stared at her like a giant crets,
Bloodshot eyes that refused to close,
Pain that tortured her from head to toes,
Her body is stained with blood not her own,
His death replaying in her mind like a phones dead tone,
Too numb and scared to move her away,
The images around are forcing her to stay,
Remembering her life before she was atken,
She wishes to dream and never awaken,
Now in her hand she clutches a gun,
Forcing her legs to permit her to run,
Next time he entered clutching his knife,
She shot one bullet and ended his life.
