Evening Note 31 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Good evening dear
and only one I hope
all finds you well.
I've been lightly dozing
and feel a little better now.
A night of sleep ahead and
tomorrow I should be
out of bed and getting on
my feet a bit to get my strength,
thank you for all your loving warmth.
I wanted to say I love you dear
and miss you deeply so.
I won't miss my goodnight tonight
I promise you my love I'm sad I
missed our kiss last night.
Still hazy and icky all around
but feeling better than I was,
remember I'm always by your side
hand in hand no matter how I feel,
I'm wrapping you up in the
tightest hug so you won't feel alone.
I love you deeply I hope you know
I can't wait to have you here
within my loving arms.
I wish you were here to help me
through this time of sick
just holding my hand while we softly
speak, read, and listen to my
audiobooks and music.
Soon enough though I know it will be,
I love you darling here a great big
kiss to you from me.
