Evening Of The 4th - Poem by Joel Roderick Bisson

Evening of that night in the Fall
When I heard the angel's call
That you there where I saw
The wings behind your back
As you walked pass me there
I was enamored by your beauty
That I imediately was take aback
Then I was head over heels
I wanted this feeling for eternity
The racing of my pulse' beat
My heart skips when you smile
But then you were engaged
I wanted to be the one to ask
If you'd be mine for an eternity
But this Love is how I feel
From the very first moment I saw
You there with our friends
On that night in the Fall of days
I've come to Love your ways
Of making my days brighter.
