Ever Flowing. - Poem by britney carpenter

i am looking down at an ever flowing river.

i see rapidly moving waters.
i see trees, rocks, and land
that have been torn away.
waves that move so fast they are untracable.

when looking down i feel at ease and relaxed.
i feel like i could stay here forever.
wishing that nothing and no one
calls me away.

then i remember hearing it is the most calmimg thing in the world.
i look at it and realize,
it is just like life.
long, scary, carrying burdens,
hidden secrets, and ever flowing
