Except Me - Poem by Jeremy Michael Willison

The moon is full
and the night is black
The stars are bright and some dull
With the pack on my back
I will walk through the night
until the first light
The wind at a cool breeze
I'm glad I wont freeze
The earth is asleep
as of the people on it
all except me

I like it! It combines the freedom of thought with the expressiveness of the night. (Report) Reply
