Excuses - Poem by Arielle Griffen
He whispers in your ear 'I'm sorry, I really am'
Over and over again….
You forgive him and his sincere apology's….
Again and again…
Until that day came when his apology's no longer means anything to your heart…
When you feel used and torn and stupid from the start…
When the day finally came and you see that his lies from the start were hidden in his apologise, that never truly came from the heart….
And then that day of relief finally had come, when you said to him…
That you are finally done… and your last words to him were…
' A man is not a man when he hides behind his fears and disappointments in his lies, but when he learns from his mistakes and overcome his fears…'
