Fall Poem by Melanie Walendowsky Baker

Fall

Rating: 3.8

'They love me and leave me',
says the old cliché.
Why does it happen?
Why don't they stay?

Sometimes I feel
I'm some kind of freak.
Is it because I'm hard
and don't show that I'm weak?

They love me and leave me
at times they don't love at all.
And so I've promised myself
it's safest never to fall.
