Purus

Fallen Sand - Poem by Purus

I will lay me down
In a bunker underground,
And place your hand in mine.

Close your eyes, there is
No need to cry. I had always
Hoped that we would die
Holding Hands,
Fingers locked ‘round fallen sand.

But this moment is ours my little dove,
Forget the troubles of this world,
Immerse your soul in love.
