Father – Mother - Poem by Pride Young
Bending to give all we need,
And protecting us and standing tall indeed,
Loving us all tremendously,
And correcting mistakes made so callously,
Hard as a rock and soft as a flower,
You are always there to fulfill the need of the hour,
You sharpened the sword from raw metal bleak,
From guiding to loving,
You did all to help us reach the peak,
Giving us before our even saying,
Father! For you we won’t stop praying,
Thanking God for you is not enough,
We want to thank you! For handling us, both soft and rough.
So loving and benign,
You loved us all the way Oh Divine!
Caring and loving us endlessly,
You are the epitome of loving selflessly,
Giving without taking,
That’s all your deed,
You be with us forever,
That’s all we need.
You are a great pair,
We have for God, just one prayer,
That you two be together forever,
And we be a small part of your endeavour,
Don’t take our silence, as taking you for granted,
We’re just awestruck to receive, more than we ever wanted.
That’s all we wish and that’s all we care,
We request the almighty to grant us this prayer!
