Still waters run deep
so there's no need to speak
good company can't be beat
wonderful feelings don't come cheap
the price is effort and time
I'm willing to put forth mine
until the day the sun won't shine
trying to taste the sweetest wine
Forgetting old and malignant ways
as I look forward to better days
not caring what an outsider says
hoping that this feeling stays
focused on that shinning smile
paying close attention all the while
to a fugure with grace and style
who's every move drives me wild
A whisper said it will be short lived
before I would have ducked and hid
covered my heart and closed the lid
but I'm glad I made the move I did
because positive thoughts are all I need
letting my soul free to breath
as I watch my fruits grow from a seed
Tonight was promising, yes indeed
