Foolish Love - Poem by Greg Marker
Dear young Miss you're on my mind,
of any reason I cannot find.
I can't express the way I feel,
the fantasies I wish were real.
Lost in thought of where you are,
truly though you are not far.
Look at me a fool today,
more time has passed then I can say.
You proved to me I'm worth no love,
I'm pushed below by those above.
Sometimes it's nice to just pretend,
that time we had would meet no end.
But I wake up with thoughts of you,
and pain reminds me what is true.
Just a dream a perfect thought,
so I feel love where there is not.
I know you'll always be a part,
deep within my broken heart
