For The Blind: Part Two Poem by Kathryn Garner

For The Blind: Part Two

for all forgivness ever given
theres a sacrifice given
making up for the sorrow caused
to gain back all the loss
but words with only care alone
dont amount to actions shown

you can feed me all the words
give me any worthy line
but it doesnt kill a hurt
when the promises are so blind
sometimes an 'im sorry' doesnt cover it up
(i should know)
some actions are so corrupt
(people cant just let go)
(we cant just let go)

i cant just let go
of this horrid sorrow
eating my life away
i hate holding on
to things so gone
i wish it would go away

i wish i knew if your sincere
but the actions from someone so near
(to my heart)
how could forgive when you dont know
exactly how far this could possibly go
you dont notice how much this could kill
when its the only thing that i know to feel

i wish i could leave behind
all the things in my mind
but its haunting me ever day
i wish my life would go away

look into my eyes
this is filling me
willing me
killing me
and what he doesnt realize
is its killing me
willing me
to take away my shame
reflected in my pain
its a simple outline
for the blind
