For Two Days Of Heat Poem by L C Vieira

For Two Days Of Heat

One-fifteen
Buffalo
Buckle Up
Next Million Miles
Don't Tailgate
Bear Crossing
Hydro-fracking?
What?
Pennsylvania
Eighteen Hundreds
Coal, Oil
First Oil -
in the world!

Dead bear
on the side of the road
Was that Venus and a crescent moon?

Five-twenty-five
December sky over Altoona

Soul Food, South Carolina
You warned me.
Dog ate the gizzards
Diarrhea dog. Diarrhea dog.
Welcome to
Florida
Cement park
find a spot
No
fish
Two days of heat

Thirty-eight
hundred
miles
and back

Ah, the road trip. They are so very educational aren't they? I love this one too.
