Forever My King - Poem by Phoenix1 Smith
'I will lead you to my palace
It's grandeur befits your beauty
Love me princess, to you I plea
For eons, together we'll be..'
Beautiful words, I love to hear
Senses basking in its glory
For in my heart it is so clear
Magical bliss bestowed on me
My prince came and whisked me away
To paradise he promised me
Him loving me, always he says:
'Oh please believe me, my lady! '
Indeed 'tis heaven, in we flew
Where blue birds and happiness dwell
gardens full of flowers with dew
in it's splendour my heart did swell
This dreamlike place, in awe, I stand
Flustered, I am alone awhile
In a distance my eyes glanced
There I saw, she, in regal style..
Ran to him at once I inquired
In haste, I asked who could she be?
With saddened eyes, he then replied:
'She, my Queen for eternity..'
Aghast, my castle turned to sand
I felt like a melting candle
fairy tale now fleeing my hand
falling in a spiral tunnel
Forlorn in a sorrowful daze
'She can't be real! ' to him I begged
speaking in hurried tongue, he says:
'It's a mystical spell I'm pegged'
Nothing in life will matter now
No other passion or power
Can ever break the given vow
His sad heart, shall be her's ever
I need no title or honour
No blue bird nor flower garden
You may be prince or a pauper
Heart and mind will never harden
My prince, I say these loving words
As I may never be your Queen,
I'm Just dame or game in your world
Still, you'll forever be my king..
