Forget About Mother - Poem by Natalia Nolte

So many keys
The door is to my left
And the key box is to my right
I need to find that key...
But each one I try
Doesn't fit the key hole
Mother is on the other side
And I need to get in
But I can't find that key
One scream and I freeze
'Mother? '
No answer
I look in that key box
Until my fingers bleed
Mother needs my help
And I need to find that key
Another scream but then a voice
' Oh no! I have the key! the door wont open. Ever! '
I look up at the door
And sigh ever so loudly
What was the use?
Now my fingers are bloody
Forget about Mother
I need a band aid!
