Forget Me Not Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Forget Me Not

Rating: 5.0

Forget me not
My sweetest rose
Alas I have to go,
So seek the solace
Of my will
For I do love you so.

Forget me not
You'll always be
Within my lonely heart,
Each day that goes
Will seem a year
When we shall be apart.

Forget me not
My precious one
Please dry your falling tears,
Be strong for me
Because the time
For us to part now nears.

Forget me not
As shadows lie
And sun does slowly set,
As stars will shine
So bright above
I too shall not forget.

Very pretty sentimental poem...the flower For get Me not seems to say it in its namesake.....a ten from me..

This is a good poem in which you have given a good preference to nature to describe the departing of your love from you.

I like the seven line verses, they flow really well and the contents are pretty good as well. Really nice read. Excellent. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
