Years fall peacefully like forgotten dreams
Curling like passing smoke loosens tears
Hidden hopes rising above whispering steam
Like fingers that leave soft memories that gleam.

New life known in lost words spoken
And old eyes that remember splintering stars
Listless days wandering dreams broken
Bestowed faith, that time gives beauty steel open.

Angels danced of waking light so bright
Sun-sweet days and waning whirling winds
Broken mirrors loose their unwept sight
Wandering leaves in secret piles delight.

Mind left time and away to the painful waves;
The body grey, in broken flesh words pave
Wishing of years buried in untimely times graves
Far hopes high, in clouds churned wildly amaze.

The long night's blue, and death's in thought
And time in earth is hidden deep, cheaply bought
Hands closed on air, from slowing breath sought
Forever souls are safe asleep.
