Friendship Miles - Poem by Littlewing28 PGW

I've offered you a part of me
Something I don't give to many people
And though you saw only a touch of me
You managed to cause a ripple

See, it not easy you see
For me to trust in you
For pain is not what I seek
I only want to bring out in you
The blossom that is in me.

There's always a gentle feeling in me
When I hear from you
I cannot put into words what happens
I go to another world

I don't even know, why you're here
In my life for a reason
The coming and going, the disappearing
Do I have a commitment to you?

All these years, and all these fears,
We have of each other.
We probably should wake up now,
And realise the lesson.
Miles separate us, memories bind us,
We are apart and together
Love me today, like I do now
Applause only from our souls

I have to say I am dismayed
At the craziness, this is
Step forward and say, what you want today
Just one life, to live.

Either way, I have to say,
Be secure in the love I give.
Our friendship will not be erased
By time,
Unconditional to the end..x

I've just read your beautiful poem. The poem describes a relation that is a bit perplexing, as if the poet is on the horns of a dilemma whether to have him as a lover or a friend. The conflict of desires in different phases of the relationship leaves the reader thinking of the possible outcome. The confusion has been well depicted. (Report) Reply
