From The Corner Of My Eye (I See The Faces) Poem by Angelica Duardo

From The Corner Of My Eye (I See The Faces)

The faces that I trace in the darkness
Exist only in my mind
There’s no one that’s like the other
There’s no one that I have ever known

They haunt me night and over
Up and down my street
They call me in the morning
And also in my dreams

They seem to care for me
They visit all the time
But I soon forget their faces
The only thing of them I know

I fear they’ll take revenge
For my unforgiving act
This stupid mind of mine
Won’t make them real, that’s wrong

I see the faces
From the corner of my eye
I see the faces,
And they are always on my mind

They haunt me night and over
Up and down my street
They call me in the morning
And also in my dreams

I see the faces
From the corner of my eye
I see the faces,
And they are always on my mind
