Frozen; Way Too Cold Poem by kinuthia david

Frozen; Way Too Cold

Fragments,
Fragments of broken pieces of the heart,
Reefs of desparation and a faint heart
Rugged gabions of shuttered dreams;
Them closed curtains; an exhibition of how one lives
Cracks that cut across the veins of the heart
And freeze the very hope:
The warm breath of a man's heart
Then you become cold,
A frozen archaic, and irrelevant artifact
Just like hidden gold
That remains only to be a parcel of admiration,
A mere fact,
That in the minds of men remain so bold
Then hope;
The thing with the warmth of a furnace,
It is the portion behind a wizard's grimace
The warmth that seteth free,
A heart that is frozen;
Cheap it is, but so it is scarce,
Like the rays of the sun in a place that is cold
Just like hidden gold,
And those that find its maps in their hearts,
It is in the minds of men they remain so bold:
For a frozen heart is one with no hope,
Better have false hope-
It warms your heart against cold.
