Fruitfulness And Messes

When with fruitfulness the Creator blesses
should we resent the attendant messes?

Interesting, as my mind immediately turned to my children as I read this. There is much wisdom contained in this brief reminder to accept the chaotic loose threads that commonly accompany the blessings of life. Bravo!

and once again, thank you, neal. yes, i thought of my granddaughter who is so dear to us with her daunting energy and ranging interests. and our apple tree which can drop fifty or so fruit a day in our back yard before, amazingly, giving so many still in late summer. and, more recently, the appearance of a curve bill (a great songbird) busy on the ground in our front yard leaving little messes as it gathers; there used to be a nest in the cholla on our corner which got trashed when an entire over-weighted branch collapsed; i'm hoping there'll be a new nest in there. -glen

Generosity at its best! Yes, fruit trees sure produce in abundance. And create carpets of fruit. My childhood garden had a big mulberry tree. I grew up with purple feet...

hey, laurie! yes, i remember you commenting of my little poem about walking under a mulberry tree. i also had in mind children (as in be fruitful and multiply) and my granddaughter more specifically. even after she picks up after herself, i find things, have to wipe her grimy handprints from the chairs she sat on, the doors she opened, the lights she switched on or off, etc. i may have told you i'm a clean freak, so i notice these things. but weirdly, perhaps, they endear her to me. -glen
