Girl In The Tree - Poem by Mariya Shostak

On my way
To church one day
I saw a girl
In a tree

She had skin
The color of chocolate
And a dress
Of pure green

Her arms were waving
In the air
Her dress was flowing
‘round her body

She had a tail
Waving ‘round
‘round her body
It was curling

She seemed to be
Praising God
Dancing ‘round
In her joy

Praises Jesus
For each day
And every day
She dances for him
