Glasgow 1960s

Community spirit of Castlemilk was woven into the fabric of life every day, neighbors never locked doors and felt safe, children played happily in the back courts amongst the many washings out to dry. In the summer chairs filled with cheery Glasgow women caught up with all the family news, laughter filled the air time stood still it seemed for my childhood was bliss many adventures and games of marbles, kick the can, chap door run away, hide and seek. Such moments recalled of innocent fun and joy.
