Glimpse Poem by Meredith Marie

Glimpse

Rating: 5.0

i caught a glimpse
of infinity
and hoped through tears
that you thought of me
goose bumps
raised hairs
and feelings of distress
baby,
without you,
i'm nothing but mess.

i snuck a look
at eternity
and prayed to god
that you looked at me
saw hurt
saw pain
came over to help
baby,
come over,
release me from hell.

hell;
this cell that i've composed for myself
trapped in a prison of pain and self doubt.
baby, release me, you just say the word-
unlock me with your imperfect perfection,
let me out of this unsafe self hatred-
pull me back into your haven of arms.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Swimming in the sea of sadness yet with a window of hope. Well done my friend!
