Gloom And Doom Poem by Vance Gilmore

Gloom And Doom

I can't compete,
this whole life is ruined.
I am incomplete,
my soul is brought down.

Each moment mocks me
echoes the tragedy I have become
There's no use in trying
My spirit is dying

An impenetrable wall of criminal intentions
completely surrounds my state of mind.
I'm corrupt and unchanging.
I am selfish and blind.

Please help me
Please let your golden diamond bright glory
Rewrite the words to this terrible story.
I wish I could be your joy, your good boy, your strong man

Your precious love, your happiness-
But I don't think I can,
Bright son of mourning that I am.
Gleeful wickedness has filled me with darkness,

And I don't believe I can turn away.
