Go And Go - Poem by Taher Shemaly

and the wind went on breezing
singing its own melodies in gloom
by the time of the darkest hour
and the heart is lost away from home
like a raging sea is the mind of me
over the oceans of the infinite doom
and the eyes yet has a tear to tell
in their place made of the bony tomb

and yet the steps that lead me
no where would I know if they go
driven away from the shore of silence
towards the island of the sorrow
and my countless steps are just on
and on to the infinite shall be so
so this is my sky and this is it
may I reach there and it might be a no

but damned is who was the reason
of such a mess in the life of stress
did not I care or give love in lifetime ago
did not I pay around me the kindness
and around me shall be the candles
of the passion that I am to wait lifeless
go and I shall go and on going shall be
the cruelty I see along with the blindness
