God Has Commanded Friend - Poem by Guillermo Jaureguito
Friend today I am alone here
and the tears fall from my eyes,
I feel the warmth of your tongue in my cheek,
and I realize that God has commanded you,
stray dog good you are,
fill my emptiness with your love.
The garden of the poets,
bears witness to our mystical encounter,
and he knows it is so.
Perhaps there inside you,
Pearl I need to soothe my pain.
You may have to write this,
because it is no coincidence,
that you give your love a balm of joy to me.
Dedicated to the dog saw me mourn and approached me.
