God's Listening Waiting Poem by Michael P. Johnson

God's Listening Waiting

Are you cheerless, gloomy depressed?
Has contentment closed its door?
Incapable finding much rest
Night and day, pacing the floor

Not few, frequent attending church
Salvation's saints know this
Life's Bridegroom oft leave in the lurch
Gazing on hell's abyss

Worry, is for the defiant
Each disobedient soul
Whom on fallen man reliant
Will fail life's highest goal

What ere may cause one's lack of sleep
One's anxious shape of mind
Life's Shepherd knows His lambs to keep
Where wolves, will fail to find

God knows your heart, each future need
One's hidden present state
Trusting The Holy Ghost to lead
Will the saddest soul elate

Seek God's face in times of leisure
Needing nothing at all
But to share life's utmost pleasure
Above earth's turbulent squall

Although not always convenient
Midst, man's bothersome fray
Let love joyful expedient
Escort silent to pray

Even the greatest of sinners
Who God their troubles give
With Jesus, His shining winners
In Heaven surely will live.....
