Golden Silver Dust Magical Wanderlust Part One Poem by G J Salgado

Golden Silver Dust Magical Wanderlust Part One

Rating: 5.0

She touches the wind and she kisses the sun
She's in love with moon and the mysteries of the ocean
Everything is undone with the blink of her eye
She holds stars quickly before her dreams die
Awake with a shadow who sits on her heart
Heavy the burden that tears her apart
Dances within tormented memories in her head
Seeking black magic from the foot of her bed

She's nobody's fool and she's no one's keeper
She runs away so no one can see her
She turns from the things that she hates
Hides inside and pulls down the shades
She loves the darkness and she loves the rain
It comforts her every time she feels pain
She puts on her makeup to make herself pretty
She looks out at the moon then cries herself to sleep

Mistakes and lost promises, she's known more than a few
It takes her back to a past that always blames you
She'll finally trust you to hold her hand
You'll only use her then stab her in the back
She disappears into her own secret land
There she won't be found, just her covered in black

Creepy she is in a haunted cave
She's lost her mind and ability to behave
Lessons she learned are worn on the walls
Her blood shot eyes compliment her howling calls
She sleeps when the sun's out
The night becomes her hunting ground

She still hears the whispers and laughter
Will her life end with a happily ever after
She goes outside to dance in the rain
She looks like she's evil and insane
Mascara's smudges from her eyes down her face
She's an embarrassment and a disgrace
All that she feels will last her a lifetime
It was all the perfect moment, the ultimate crime

I was first drawn by the multiple images in your title to read your Part 6 installment just now and it convinced to go back to the beginning. You create a vivid character sketch in this opening. Your female lead seems both delighted and restless. The prevailing image I'm left with right now is someone impatient for the next phase of her life to begin and dancing while she waits for it to happen. She seems to draw energy directly from nature and natural things but the core of her being is still a vast mystery to her.
