Goodbye - Poem by Le'Nesha Holt

Clasping flesh
holding tightly,
twisted in on its self.
Time for departure arrives…
hearts snaps.
An owl’s voice sounds sorrowfully.
Sadness invades
summer evening’s veil.
I keep clinging to her body,
afraid to let go.
But all too soon our separation comes-
goodbye for a while.
