Orion Umberger

Rookie (05 18 1900 / The void)

Growing - Poem by Orion Umberger

I left as a childe.
Full of arrogance and pride.
I shall return soon and a man
of the world with the experience,
of endless tides.

I shall see the home,
of my boyish days.
I shall laugh and cry,
with the memories of those ways..

It's exciting too think,
how ones views can change.
After seeing so many places,
experiencing so many new things.

I find myself wondering,
what it will be like?
Will it be soft and loving?
Or...
Will it be hand and edged,
like a knife...

I must payciently wait and
see with the coming of that,
days dawn.
What this new life will,
truly be...
