Haikus On The Moon (Imperfect Haikus) - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana

Of Mice and Men

Craters in nightfall
Dappled on the moon surface
Cheese of the Milky Way

Skin Disease

Moonbeams falling
Blessing nocturnal creatures
With jaundiced skin

Crescent of the night
Blooming in light
Love at first sight

The impression of the moon
Reflected on firewater
Heavenly moonshine

Skinny Dipping

Two moist cheeks
Shimmering on water
Under a jealous moon

Graduate School

Burning the midnight oil
In the night shift
