Half-Truths, Half-Lies Poem by Hebert Logerie

Half-Truths, Half-Lies

Rating: 4.5

These are all lies.
These are dead flies
That can no longer move.
Change your groove,
Come with better excuses,
And stop all kinds of abuses.
No matter how you filter these lies,
The outcome will remain the same.
At times, one has to break all ties
With a friend that cannot be tamed.
This is not mathematics, multiply
Two wrong things will not arrive
At a positive answer. Half-lies
Are unacceptable, and will not survive
The test of time. Half-truths will also die
In the street leading to the Court House.
Walking, running, and jumping, like a mouse,
Are interesting for the eyes, not for a good sense of humor.
It’s doubtful that laughing hard is the cause of your tumor.
Come with better excuses,
And stop all types of abuses.
Learn how to be truthful,
And God will save your soul.
