Happiness - Poem by Allison Last Name

Realizing hurts
Realizing that they don't care
Realizing that they don't feel the way you do
Realizing that the thoughts and dreams you had will never come
Realizing that it's over

The heart sinks down lower then it has before
And although you hide behind a mask, it still hurts
To the people who know, you pretend you're fine
To the people who don't, well they never need to

Because being able to move on is based on what you do
What you think
How you move
How you act
And when you get over it, life is better
No more feeling like the hurt will never end
Just feeling of good

But why, why does the heart continue to fall
If it has hurt so many times, why continue to care
For if the trend is true, then no one will care back
Sure they may pretend, but never true love

I guess, that is the way life works
Constantly dreaming
Dreaming for that person to come in your life
Dreaming for that job to appear
Dreaming for that ability to feel happy
Constant dreaming

And what if happens
What if my dreams come true
Will the dreaming still occur
Or will I finally, accept happiness
