Happiness In Today - Poem by Madeleine Ross

To be happy is not something you can teach someone else,
Or even make them understand even a little,
because it’s uniquely different for every single human being.
You need to live it before you can know it.

Only when we find happiness in our own present time,
We will grasp the knowledge of how to live in the now.
Only then you will know it.

I felt it today, today is how we need to live.
The repeating question in my head is then; what is today?

today, Cape Town-Blouberg, South Africa
